If you are running out of space on your iPhone or iPad and you have decided to see which apps are taking up the most space, you probably have noticed that WhatsApp is using most of the space.
As most of the people are part of the 8 to 10 groups on WhatsApp and most of the groups have forwarded text, images, documents and videos which takes lots of space.
Here, you can see the way to find the groups which are using the most space on your iPhone and how to free that space.
Reduce WhatsApp Storage Space on iPhone
- Open WhatsApp on your iPhone
- Tap the Settings button to open the WhatsApp settings
- Tap on the Data and Storage Usage
- Tap on the Storage Usage
- Here, you can see which group is using how much space on your iPhone. Tap on the group for which you want to see the details that which type of data using how much space.
- Here, you can see the space used by different types of files.
- Scroll down and tap on Manage. By default it will select all types of files, if you want to keep some types of files then deselect those.
- Tap on the Clear button to select the data which you want to delete for this group.
- Again tap on the Clear button to delete the selected data of the group.
- Now, all the data for selected file types have been deleted and space becomes free on your iPhone.
