Problem
After setting up my new iPhone 11 when I received the call, the ringtone volume level drops to a very low level. It becomes very difficult to hear the ringtone for almost every incoming call.
Reason
The reason is once a call comes in and you look at your phone, your phone knows you’ve engaged with it and it lowers the volume. This feature is known as the Attention-Aware Features which comes with the iPhone X and other higher models of iPhone.
Solution
You can disable this Attention-Aware Features to hear the ringing volume loudly. If you like to turn off the Attention-Aware Features, go to Settings > Accessibility > Face ID & Attention > Attention Aware Features as shown below:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to the Accessibility section.
- Now open the Face ID & Attention section.
- Locate the Attention-Aware Features option and turn to toggle to off position. It will be turned grey from green.
- Exit out of Settings app.
That’s all, now Attention-Aware Features have been disabled on your iPhone and your iPhone will ring at the desired volume set by you.
