IBM Lotus Notes Traveler is a tool which allows accessing your Lotus Notes emails on a mobile device. Many of us are not know how to install and configure it on an iPhone or iPad. Here I have shown the steps to install it on an iPhone or iPad, please follow the same:
- Open the Safari browser on your iPhone, type the URL http://mmail.mailservername/ or http://mmail.mailservername/servlet/traveler/ where mailservername is the domain name of your company’s mail server.
- Enter your Lotus Notes user name and password to log in.
- After entering the Lotus Notes user name and password if you are getting the below error (Use ID does not have Lotus Notes Traveler access rights) then you need to contact your company’s email administrator. Once your company’s email administrator will give access rights to your id, proceed to the next step.
- Click on Configure your Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.
- Click on Generate button to generate an Apple Profile for your Lotus Notes ID.
- You will get a pop-up window saying that “This website is trying to download a configuration profile. Do you want to allow this?“. Click on Allow button to proceed further.
- You will get a confirmation message that Profile Downloaded, Review the profile in the settings app if you want to install it. Close this pop-up window.
- Open the Settings app of your iPhone and you will the option Profile Downloaded, click on it to configure further.
- Click on the Install button.
- It may show the warning that “The profile is not signed“, click on Install.
- Enter your Lotus Notes password and click Next.
- Profile installed successfully, click on Done.
- Now Open the Mail app on your iPhone and you will find your Lotus Notes inbox pulled into your iPhone via Lotus Traveler, including all of your existing folders. By default mails of one month will be synced on your iPhone, you may change its Lotus Notes Traveler settings if required.
