If you want to remove the welcome message that HP-UX shows every time when you log in via ssh or telnet then you need to edit the /etc/profile file.

Remove the Copyright message after login into HP-UX
If you want to remove the Copyright messages then you need to comment the below entry in /etc/profile file.
| # vi /etc/profile
….. ….. # cat /etc/copyright //comment this line to disable the above copyright message ….. ….. |
You can also disable the other messages by commenting other appropriate lines.
