If you are getting the error” ‘telnet’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.” on Microsoft Windows 10 while trying to connect a machine through telnet then it means telnet client service not enabled/installed on your system.
You need to install/enable the telnet service on your Windows 10 system as per the process shown below.
How To Enable Telnet In Windows 10:
- Go to Control Panel>Programs and Features
- Click on Turn Windows Feature On or Off, it will open Server manager.
- Select the Telnet Client from the list and click on the OK button.
- Once installation is completed close this window.
- Now verify the telnet service by typing the telnet on the command prompt.
